  • We offer a new client intro, Begin with Balance, for our yoga classes. 21 Days for $59. This is a great way to try different classes and instructors to see what suits you best. Interested in Pilates Reformer? Contact us to learn more about private sessions and joining group classes.

  • Our Balance, Gentle or Restorative classes are great options. We recommend taking at least three to four Balance or Gentle classes before trying a Flow class if you are brand new to yoga. Our Aerial All Levels class is geared for students new to aerial yoga.

  • Yes, if you currently don’t attend reformer classes on a weekly basis, we require private sessions to prepare for group classes. Our group classes do consist of clients at various levels of experience but they tend to move at an intermediate to advanced pace. Please contact us for more details and to learn more about our private sessions.

  • Yoga - Water bottle and a yoga mat (yes even for aerial!). We do have some yoga mats at the studio if you need to borrow one for a class or two before you purchase your own.

Pilates - Water bottle and grip socks if you prefer to wear these for reformer classes.

  • Anything you are comfortable in that allows you to stretch and move freely. That could be yoga/pilates attire or comfy sweatpants. There’s no judging here, just be you! For all yoga classes, we recommend that you practice barefoot for better traction in poses and to better activate the muscles in your feet. Pilates classes can be taken barefoot or in grip socks. The studio space is small, so we ask that you and your clothes are clean and free of harsh smells such as smoke or perfumes.

If you are attending an aerial class, please wear pants that cover your knees; shirt with sleeves (short sleeves are fine but no tank tops), and deodorant. This keeps our silks clean. Be sure to also wear clothing that is free of zippers, buttons, or decorations that might snag or damage the silks. No jewelry of any kind should be worn in the silks. This is especially important with rings and earrings for both your safety and the integrity of the silks.

  • Plan to be on your mat/silk/reformer at least five mins BEFORE class begins. Allow yourself time before that five mins to store your belongings, use the restroom if needed, grab props for yoga, etc. If you are registered for an aerial class, you also need to allow time for the instructor to adjust the silk for your height. Arriving just before class begins makes it challenging for you to be prepared and for our instructors to start classes on time. The front door of the studio does lock at the start of class so please be mindful of this studio policy.

  • Yes, it’s never too late! Yoga is truly for everyone and the instructors will offer variations throughout class. Be sure to also check the schedule to see if we have a beginner series coming up soon!

  • Select the class you want to attend on our schedule page and choose a pricing option that works best for you. We always recommend clients to make purchases through our website rather than the Mindbody app due to possible additional fees. However, the Mindbody app is great for scheduling classes once you have the package or membership added to your account. Please always pre-book your first class, this ensures that you sign all digital liability waivers in advance and saves time for everyone.

  • 24-hour cancellation policy for Pilates Equipment classes

2 hour cancellation policy for all Yoga classes.

7-day cancellation policy for special events, workshops, and special class series. Credit will automatically go to your Mindbody account.

There is no credit for unused/missed classes in a series.

There are no refunds or exchanges on purchases.

Studio Etiquette + Policies

At Balance Yoga + Pilates, we want to ensure an enjoyable and respectful environment. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with our studio etiquette and policies. If you have any questions or require further clarification, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. We appreciate your cooperation and support of our community.

  • SIGN UP FOR CLASSES - advanced registration is strongly encouraged for all of our classes. It is required for Pilates Reformer/Equipment and Aerial classes due to limited space. Please ALWAYS pre-book your first class! This ensures that you sign all digital liability waivers and take care of payment in advance. Our teachers appreciate this!

  • CHECK THE SCHEDULE - on occasion, classes are canceled due to low enrollment or teacher availability. We recommend that you always check the schedule on our website to be sure the class is running before coming to the studio.

  • CLASS PACKAGES - All ten class packages expire six months from date of purchase. They are not transferable, refundable, or interchangeable.

  • PRIORITIZE YOUR SCHEDULE - Please remember to cancel class (via the Mindbody app or our website) if you cannot attend to allow room for someone else and so our teacher is not waiting for your arrival. Please don’t be a no-show! We do lock our studio door at the start of class for the safety of our community.

  • DISCONNECTING - Please silence all cell phones and smart watches and leave them in the cubbies. Please do no bring them into the yoga room with you. This allows you and those around you to enjoy class free of distractions.

  • DO WHAT WORKS FOR YOUR BODY - You are different from the person next to you in class. Whether you feel strong or need some rest, focus on yourself and what your body actually needs.

  • BE RESPECTFUL OF THOSE AROUND YOU - Please do not attend class if you are ill or contagious and do not wear perfume or strong scents to class.

  • IT’S OKAY TO COME A LITTLE HUNGRY - it is best to avoid eating anything heavy before yoga or pilates classes. For aerial yoga classes, we recommend that you avoid eating at least an hour before class.

  • BE RESPECTFUL OF OUR SPACE - Remove your shoes at the front door. Pick up after the class is over. Clean any machines or props that you used. Place props away neatly where you found them. This makes for a positive experience for everyone at the studio.

  • ENJOY YOURSELF - this is the most important part! This is all about you! So if something doesn’t feel right, please let us know so we can help!
